Canadian Scholarship- Full Funded Scholarship at University of Ottawa Canada, 2018

The University of Ottawa is proud to have one of the most generous scholarships and bursaries offerings in the country. International students can apply for a large number of scholarships and bursaries offered by the University of Ottawa and the community. A scholarship is awarded for academic achievements while a bursary is awarded based on financial need.

President’s Scholarship

Value$30,000 ($7,500 per year)

Description

The President’s Scholarship is awarded to one full-time undergraduate international student. Valued at $30,000, it is one of the most prestigious scholarships at the University of Ottawa. Applicants must hold a student visa provided by the school. This scholarship can be renewed for the three following years provided the student maintains full-time enrolment, international student status and a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 8.50. The University also provides a one-time award of $1,500 to applicants in second, third and fourth place. Applications must be submitted online (deadline is April 30).

Chancellor’s Scholarship

Value– $26,000 ($6,500 per year)

Description

The Chancellor’s Scholarship is awarded to one full-time undergraduate international student. Valued at $26,000, it is one of the most prestigious scholarships at the University of Ottawa. Applicants must hold a student visa. This scholarship can be renewed for the three following years provided the student maintains full-time enrolment, international student status and a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 8.50. The University also provides a one-time award of $1,500 to the applicants in second, third and fourth place. Applications must be submitted online (deadline is April 30).

Receive your funds

  • Your scholarship or bursary will be credited to your student account.
  • If you are a CO-OP student, you’ll receive your funds once you’re enrolled in a study term.
  • Admission scholarships and renewals are usually credited to your student account in mid-July. You’ll receive two equal installments, one in September and one in January, which are applied towards your tuition fees.
  • Scholarships and bursaries are taxable. You receive a T4A slip if you received awards, scholarships or bursaries from the University of Ottawa during the fiscal year. Slips are available in uoZone at the end of February.
